About the piece: This saxophone quartet consists of three miniatures, each inspired by a food that was common in my childhood. The shape and spelling of each food has a direct impact on the form and melodic material of each movement. The resulting nature of this piece is whimsical and light-hearted, much like a child’s spirit.
